National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO)
Their Trustee Recruitment Guide includes a link to Trustees Unlimited, one of the UK’s leading trustee and board recruitment agencies, which will list your trustee roles for free if you’re an NCVO member. As well as Charity Job and Step on Board.

Getting on Board
Have developed an excellent free guide to good recruitment which can help your charity recruit a board that will help it grow and thrive. They run trustee recruitment workshops, and a learning programme called Trustee Recruitment Pathways, for charities who want support to run an active trustee recruitment campaign. They can advertise charity trustee vacancies for free.

List your vacancy for free on their self-service website. It’s free for charities and other types of organisations with an annual turnover under £1m. Use the paid for TrusteeWorks service for an advertising campaign and access their networks to help you find a trustee.

Charity Jobs is a paid for recruitment site, charging £225 for a 30-day listing of your role. The site has 4.1m users each year and 91% say they would use the service again.
Not for profit recruitment agency Prospect Us, with high profile clients such as The National Lottery Community Fund, have produced model Job Descriptions, Person Specifications and interview questions and a Board Skills Audit.
