Details: Hosted by Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, South East DriveAbility (SED) are currently looking for volunteers to be Digital Champions to assist their clients who, due to restrictions imposed by COVID-19, have been rendered isolated and vulnerable, often resulting in immediate isolation and chronic loneliness.
To assist clients in understanding the benefits of using the internet and can show them how to do simple things online and, more importantly, being able to continue with social connections with family, friends and explore new interests that digital technology can offer. The service would also like to be able to introduce opportunities using online platforms for everyday tasks, of which we all take for granted such as; shopping, appointments, community signposting and basic life-needs. This is a short-term pilot.
