SKC partners with BHIB Charities Insurance

Kent charities get peace of mind at an affordable price

Having supported many charities, we know that insurance is a hot topic. Some have never considered it necessary, others have been confused by terminology and the number of different policies on offer and others are simply looking to get a good deal, with a trusted company. We can help.

Stronger Kent Communities (SKC) have launched a partnership with BHIB Charities Insurance to offer wider support and assistance to charities and community groups across Kent.

A free webinar A 101 Guide to Charity Insurance covering questions such as ‘what insurance should I consider?’ is available to watch online – and there’s a free interactive online Q&A next month for people to ask their burning insurance questions.

On top of this the BHIB team will be providing free health checks for any charities that need insurance to make sure that they are receiving the correct advice, while allowing them to understand and identify any potential risks the charity may face.

SKC support voluntary and community groups with a signposting service, website resources, online training, coaching and skilled volunteering service.

Joining with the BHIB Charities Insurance team means another element of support for voluntary, community and social enterprise groups of all sizes throughout the region.

BHIB Charities Insurance offer advice across a wide range of topics as part of the partnership, including legal and HR guidance, health and safety policies, insurance insights, trustee protection support, and even social media and cyber best practice guidance.

They are an independent Insurance Broker with over 50 years trading history, providing insurance and risk management support to charities of all sizes, including community/voluntary groups, clubs/societies and hobby/interest groups. They are passionate about supporting local communities, no matter how big or small.

Ajay Mistry, Partnerships Director at BHIB Charities Insurance, said: “We are delighted to be working with Stronger Kent Communities and learn from their expertise within the voluntary sector. Through this partnership, we are able to really support those charities and voluntary organisations in Kent in a much more comprehensive way, not only with their insurance needs but also our free online resources, and we’re very much looking forward to working together in the future.”

Claire Haffenden, Interim CEO of SKC, added: “Myself and the team are thrilled to have BHIB on board – they have an excellent reputation and we know we are in good hands. This partnership is set to be hugely beneficial for our sector and it’s great to know that we are further expanding what we can offer in terms of support.”

Charities across Kent can benefit from this great new partnership from 10 September 2020, and for SKC it is just the beginning of a new, collaborative approach to supporting the voluntary sector post-pandemic.
