COVID-19 Next Steps

Linking your organisation with the support you need post COVID-19

What we do:

We have a two-stage offer. Please use the resources on our website by clicking the links below, and if you can’t find what you need – or if you’re not sure how to move forward, then Claire at our help point is ready and waiting to work with you to identify the support you need.

This could be provision of resources, signposting to a partner organisation, referral to the skilled volunteering programme, or up to 5 hours of free advice from a voluntary sector expert on governance, fundraising, volunteering, marketing support and more as part of our SKC coaching programme.

Still not sure how we can help?

Here are a couple of examples of the support we can offer.

Soon, we will be sharing stories of Kent based groups that have had support from SKC.

SKC support for a new group:

a group has just set up a neighbourhood hub in response to the COVID-19 crisis and needs support to register as a charity, find a volunteer to develop their social media presence and needs to write a business plan. Our response is to provide an expert to help with the registration, try to match them with a social media skilled volunteer and provide access to web resources and online business planning training

SKC support with fundraising:

a charity is struggling with fundraising planning, so we provide online training and resources as well as access to an expert to help develop the fundraising plan

SKC Coaching Service Testimonial:

“I am writing on behalf of West Kent Debt Advice, St Paul’s Money Advice Centre  (both partner charities to Crosslight) and Crosslight Advice itself, to thank you all for supporting us with mentoring sessions from both Claire and Kerry.

“We have been provided with ideas and suggestions which we hope to put into practice in due course. We know the next year is going to be a very tough time for us, along with many other charities, as we face rising demand for our service,  alongside increasing funding uncertainty. Your assistance at this time could not have been more timely. What a fantastic initiative by Stronger Kent Communities.

“Thank you once again.” – Fiona, Crosslight Advice
