Time to ditch the AGM?
Acevo has said that it has plans to ditch its annual general meeting (AGM) and intends to replace it with a digital event to enable its members to hold its leadership to account. It’s worth any organisation with a wide company law membership who struggle to reach quorum at their AGM’s considering whether they can reinvigorate membership and develop the AGM to be more than just an administrative business meeting. Or, if alternative approaches to member engagement might provide better scrutiny and oversight of the charities leadership.
